Art Battles Loves The Kids!

Last Thursday Jan 23 a few of the women artists from Art Battles, Gia Gutierezz, Lexi Bella, and our most recent winner Danielle Mastrion, taught a 2 hour workshop on Art Battles and live painting to the teens at the Lower East Side Girl’s Club on 1st st between 1st and 2nd Ave.

     The ladies not only introduced the idea of live painting and the institution and movement known as Art Battles to the next generation, but also were able to teach them some lessons and techniques like how to create a color wheel, mix colors, and use that knowledge to build a face quickly with color blocking. Gotta teach the youth!

   The workshop was fun and exciting and we look forward to having more in the future where the girl’s can have their own mini battles! 

   Danielle Mastrion will be representing the US in the Warsaw Art Battles this summer, and Lexi Bella will be in a Group Exhibition in Chelsea at Brooklyn Brother’s Gallery to benefit the Lower East Side Girl’s Club opening March 18th.
